Servoism at work

Fig. HC3 - Site Updates

You may notice a few updates 'round the site, so let me explain so you can turn and face the change. (Ch-Ch-Changes.)

-New Updates Banner, so that you might better clickey over and give that a visit.

-Servo's Videos: Adding my YouTube channel to the mix so you can watch some of my videofilm projects.

-Team Servo following header added

-Cargo Bay banner, so you can see some of my Zazzle products and seeeeuch.

-THE HITOCOUNTER DEVICE, giving stats as to how many people have visited the site. Don't worry, they're mostly me, so I'll be the first to get sucked into space and time and get eaten by a giant Camel Cricket if it's not on the level.

So that's about it for all that work. What do you, the viewers at home think? Anything you'd like to see added/changed here on the page?

Ya'll come back now: Ya hear?, SERVO

Return of the Queen

Fig. HS27.5 - It's like this, but in my heart

Late in the day of the East Coast no Servo would have expected that a new Haruhi episode was being watched, keenly and closely by Japanese Otaku. But there...across the gulf of ocean...in the late of night. Haruhi was being watched by Otaku greater than our own. Slowly, but surely, drawing their plans to upload it.

NEW EPISODES OF THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA ARE BEING AIRED WITH THE OLDER SERIES.

Life is great.

While I contain my skipping heartbeat back here on solid ground and await the opportunity to watch it translated , I had an awesome day. Haz had Cheezeburger, and had a great viewing of Terminator Salvation. It was pretty good, a really enjoyable m0vie watching.

Secret Collect

Fig. NG4 - Yoko Maid Moe

So right after my peaceful rain post yesterday, I walked outside in the rain to get the mail. Lo and behold, a magical Box from Japan was inside the mailbox! Finally have my own awesome Yoko figure. Still haven't heard any...ummmm...negative opinions on it, but like my Dakimakura I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I hear something about it. ^^;

Add to the greatness, it's still raining. Seems like we haven't gotten rain here for ages, and now we're getting all of it at once.

More rainy peaceful quietness, SERVO

Someday in the Rain

Fig. HR1 - Haruhi

No, I don't really have anything to say today. Very peaceful. Been raining all day and enjoying the quiet. Just wanted to post something so you know it isn't still Friday. Sorry about that!

A quiet rainy day, SERVO

Closing Theme Friday

(I appriciate closing themes and credits unlike some people who leave the theatre or turn off the TV, so to end the week I'll be posting...Credits!)

Week 2 - Tenchi Muyo!

Don't see that Everyday

Fig. W6 - WatchMart

Wal Mart is awful right? Yep. It's a heck on earth. But they win this round.

Not only did I find a Rorschach T-Shirt (R-rated film T-shirt? For $7.50? At WAL MART?) but I also found POCKY! Like...genuine Otaku Fuel Pocky! From Japan! No way, right? Just had to post this.

So you know.

The impossible.

Has happened.

Tokyo Midway Mania

Fig. M27 - Midway Mania, Japan

Looks like Tokyo's getting a Midway Mania. Since I've spent so much time here at ours at Walt Disney World, it almost feels like a little piece of me is heading over there.

Almost...but not quite, SERVO

Monday Madarame #2

Fig. GM1 - Monday Madarame

"The air is way too thin up there for an Otaku like me. I'll go crazy! I'll die from lack of oxygen."

Most people LOVE to shop for clothes at trendy retailers. But for Otaku like me, it's a serious problem. There's just something that makes us extremely uncomfortable being in just about any shop that doesn't sell DVDs, or figures, or at least electronics. Maybe it's the overpriced fashionable clothes and the prying eyes of trendy employees, or the overpowering smell they have. Fancy clothes and popular "look" styles are just not my thing. Just a few minutes spent with anyone looking at "hip" clothes makes us feel like we're up in thin air! Do we dare respond to the piercing glare of "cool" employees with their obviously ill-fated question "Can I help you with anything?" at the risk of losing precious seconds of air supply? I'll stick with being unfashionable thank you. What about you? Do you look uncomfortable in a Fancy Clothing Store, or start shopping away?

Star Trek WIN

Fig. 4S - Mirror Mirror

IN MY HONEST OPINION... I feel that Lost is a seriously overrated popular television show lacking a real story that means anything of value. Cloverfield is one of the worst films to come out in the last twenty years, and I do not take statement lightly. (Wearing Tom Servo shirt for Pete's Sake...), so here is what I have to say about "Star Trek"...

OH MY SWEET GOODNESS THAT WAS AMAZING! Just PERFECT. It's absolute proof of my long claim that you can give us the original goodness: The sounds, The costumes, The characters, and it WON'T BE CHEEZY. And it wasn't! It was perfect! Beyond perfect! The story was fine, and best of all the actors and the characters. I love the original Trek characters, and every moment was a real treat. Simon Pegg was so good as Scotty! Best of all, Bones! Every single one of his lines and acting was better than amazing!

Must go see it again.

Too many things done perfectly to talk about.

Sooooo...Abrams, I give you this candy bar.

You...You've earned it.

Now please go see it for yourself!

Funny how Life works out

Fig. 9Y - The Reveal

Yes, I know I've used Fig. 9Y before, but It's most accurate about this situation. For the wise, you may have already figured out why this image is true, my very own Dakimakura arrived! I couldn't be happier. Because it seems like only yesterday it was an unattainable goal. Who knew that life would throw the exact thing I needed to make it happen at just the right time? It's as likely as the planets aligning. That's why others may look exactly like Sasahara's sister here, while I will always look extremely pleased. Not just because it's an lovely item just like their posters they have there.

What about you? Ever overcome impossible odds in an ever-challenging geeky lifestyle? I'd love to know.

If you're FOLLOWING me on Twitter you may know this, but I recently topped 1,000 tweets! That was quick. And if you're not following me, what are you waiting for? An engraved invitation? (No, I didn't steal that from Men In Black: Alien Attack at Universal Studios Florida. Thank you very much.)

Also you may notice Mirai-Chan from Danny Choo's site over there on the right, which takes you to a new place where you can see my postings from here, Otaku.fm! If you're more interested in the following of said geeky things than you are about me, Disney, and complaining, go check it out and explore the world of Otaku blogs!

Plus don't forget, Star Trek this weekend. Look for a complete (and lazily written) review of it later this weekend!

I like Mondays

Fig. K6 - Yui Chan

So I know today is Star Wars Day. Happy Star Wars Day! I must apologize though, for I spent it by celebrating with Awesome Star Trek collector glasses at Burger King. Being an all around Geek knows no Holidays! It it is a 24/7 job! Other than that, I finally got to catch my self up on K-On 3 & 4. Now I suppose I need to catch up on studying, but like Yui said "I can remember only thing, and forget everything else." What about your Monday? Go well? Are you like me and generally enjoy Mondays, or are you like Garfield and hate them?

Monday Madarame #1

Fig. GM1- Monday Madarame

"To not buy what one wants is to deny one's true self."

With my own Dakimakura and Yoko statue coming to me from Japan, these wise words should ring true to all Otaku and people alike. No matter what your situation, no matter what has you down in life, there are some things that, no matter what others may say, need to be bought, if only to assure you that want you want is what makes you, you.

Words to live by, SERVO

Everybody's Workin' for the Weekend

Fig. T4 - So Excited

So it's the weekend already. Guess that happens after Friday. I wonder how many more weekends it will be until my rovery item arrives in the Mail? Can't wait. Plus there should be some awesome Movies coming up, and my VERY own YOKO Figure! That's right! Yep, it's awesome indeed. So what are you doing this weekend? Work? Fun? Bit of both?

In any case, that just goes to show you...

Fig. s24 - Time Flies

Happy 20th anniversary Studios!

You can see all the Updates from today over at the Updatepage. It was a great day of fun and nostalgia. Have lots of great memories from this park, that's for sure. Also got me thinking of when I started making Updates and trying to be funny, included above one of the pictures from the first Studios Update.

Something to think about, SERVO
